Frequently asked questions

What is Math Grid?+

Math Grid is a Calcudoku-style (also known as KenKen-style) number puzzle. Fill the grid so every row and column contains each number once, and every bold-outlined cage combines to its shown target using the shown operation.

How many Math Grid puzzles are there each day?+

Three — one easy (4×4), one medium (6×6) and one hard (7×7). Everyone in the world gets the same three boards each day, and they refresh at midnight in your local timezone.

How does scoring work?+

Each solved board earns a difficulty base (Easy 100, Medium 250, Hard 500). With the timer on you earn up to +200 for a fast solve, +100 for a flawless run with no mistakes, and each wrong entry (−25) or hint (−50) trims the bonus — but never below the base. Your points add up over time.

Is every board guaranteed to have one solution?+

Yes. Each puzzle is generated and then verified to have exactly one solution, so it can always be solved by logic alone — no guessing required.

Can I customize the game?+

Yes — open the Customize panel to toggle pencil-note auto-clear, cell highlights, live conflict flags, the timer, hints and the mistake counter. Your choices are saved in your browser.
